She was born in Athens in 1978. She graduated with a diploma from the School of piano and monody (class of Kiki Morfoniou) of the Athens Conservatory (2001 and 2004 respectively), and a degree in Counterpoint (2007, class of Babis Kana). She is also a graduate of the Department of Music Studies of the E.K.P.A. (degree with integrated master's degree, 2002), graduate of the postgraduate department of the European University of Cyprus in the field of music pedagogy (MMus in Music Education, 2020). From November 2020, she continues her studies as a PhD candidate at T.M.S. of E.K.P.A. with supervising professor, the conductor and professor of the department, Pavlos Sergiou.
For the last ten years, she has been conducting choirs of adult amateur choirs in Thessaloniki. She has also taken part in music education conferences of E.E.M.E., EAS, PA.MAK. and of the Regional Directorate of Central Macedonia of Secondary Education of the Prefecture of Thessaloniki as a lecturer in workshops and seminars for the vocal education of adult amateur choirs with the aim of well-being, but also for students in public primary and secondary education.
She was a member of the Board of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki from October 2019 to October 2021.
Since 2004 she has been working as a permanent music teacher in Greek public education. Her research interest focuses on the mental well-being of adult amateur choristers through their participation in choral ensembles and music community groups.
