25-11-23 on the World Day against Gender Violence, SHE-Society for Help & Empowerment in co-organization with the Soroptomist Group Makedonia we were on the pedestrian street of Hagia Sophia for an information and awakening action. We gave away balloons* to children with the hashtags of the global campaign against gender-based violence #respectwomen and #readthesigns, we distributed 500 (!!!) brochures with information about healthy relationships and respect, bookmarks and bracelets with the message NO VIOLENCE, we talked with the world and all together we stuck orange post it papers with our messages in the shadow of a woman who leaves from the abusive environment carrying her suitcase.

We were joined by the Member of Parliament Ms. Katerina Notopoulou, the Deputy Regional Governor for Health and Social Solidarity Ms. Melina Maria Dermetzopoulou, the President of the European Organization for Health and Safety at Work Mr. Andreas Stoimenidis, the Head of the Environment Department of the Region of Crete Mr. Manos Nikoloudakis and of course a lot of friends.

Together we will manage to stop this scourge!

*the balloons were biodegradable, the stem in the tie from recycled plastic and the sticks also eco-friendly from paper. Always our actions with respect for the environment!
