“Support for Change” is an innovative program designed to empower professionals and organizations who come into contact with cases of gender-based violence. It is funded by the European Union under the program “POWER – Promoting Organizations’ empoWErment to guarantee women’s human Rights and stop gender violence”, coordinated by SHE – Society for Help & Empowerment.

The main goal of “Support for Change” is Change—a meaningful transformation of the professionals involved, as well as of the social framework surrounding gender-based violence. Through training activities, the project aims to strengthen the skills of professionals who work with survivors of gender-based violence, improve the quality of support they provide, and promote empathy while adopting a more sensitive and effective approach to handling such cases. At the same time, through awareness-raising actions, the project seeks to sensitize society and contribute to the prevention of gender-based violence.

The project contributes to breaking down stereotypes and prejudices and aims to develop a more human-centered and effective approach to supporting survivors, fostering empathy and systemic change.

“Support for Change” will provide training to:

  • Frontline professionals aged 25–60: social workers, psychologists, lawyers, police officers, members of Civil Society Organizations, medical/nursing staff, etc.
  • Survivors and vulnerable groups aged 18–65: victims of gender-based violence, LGBTQ+ individuals, migrant and refugee women, Roma women, people with disabilities.
  • The general public aged 18 and above.

Over a period of twelve (12) months (October 2025 – September 2026), the project will implement group training sessions (in-person and online), experiential workshops, and two awareness-raising public events.

Specifically, the following free trainings will be offered:
