"Mansplaining" comes from the words "man" and "explaining" and means about what you can imagine. These are when a man explains something (usually to a woman) in an arrogant, patronizing, self-confident, and often incorrect or oversimplified manner that belittles the intelligence or knowledge of the female interlocutor. In fact, many times the person explaining knows less about the subject than his interlocutor.
Mansplaining is a combination of insufficient knowledge and overconfidence, as well as a perception that the interlocutor knows and understands less than the person explaining.
The term "mansplaining" was coined in 2008 by the author Rebecca Solnit and eventually became such a part of the culture of our time that it was added to the Oxford dictionary.
"Manterrupting", is the practice where a man constantly interrupts a woman in the context of a dialogue or any social interaction.
"Manterrupting" is strongly (unfortunately) present in public discourse. The practice of deliberately interrupting a woman by a man while she is speaking and expressing her views in a debate exists in every form of public life, even (mostly) among people in high political office.
Both practices were very dear to Donald Trump. But don't fall from the clouds if we tell you that Jimmy Kimmel applied it to Hillary Clinton, Kanye West to Talor Swift, Mike Pence to Kamala Harris, even Sheldon to Amy...
A walk on the internet and youtube will make us realize how often it happens.
And no, it's not about the lack of skills required to hold a conversation without interrupting or speaking condescendingly and derogatorily and related to each person's character and personality.
It is no coincidence that this happens more to women than to men.
